Monday evening, our internal chat channels lit up with a sense of quiet pride and excitement. We are not a company that typically seeks the spotlight; we prefer to keep our heads down and focus on the long-term work of building technology. But today, the spotlight found us, and it was for the most gratifying reason.
It is with deep humility and a sense of profound pride that we read the words of Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, India's Union Minister for IT, choosing to embrace Zoho as his Swadeshi platform. Our gratitude also extends to the National Informatics Centre (NIC), whose team has been instrumental in spearheading this adoption across the Government of India.
This is not just a validation for Zoho, but for the conviction we have held on to for over 29 years: that best-in-class technology, for the world, can be built from India, rooted in our soil.
This is a tremendous morale boost for our engineers who have worked with quiet dedication for years, often away from the spotlight, investing in deep R&D to build our technology stack from the ground up. Building a spreadsheet from first principles wasn't easy, neither was building Zoho Mail, Zoho Writer, Zoho Show, and all our other products that took big tech head-on.
Our journey has always been about creating a different kind of company—one that measured success not by valuations, but by the value we created for our customers, our employees, and the communities around us. Today, over 130 million users globally trust Zoho, a suite built with this very ethos.
For those inspired to join this movement towards digital sovereignty, our doors are open. We have always believed in making technology accessible, and our teams are ready to help you make a seamless transition. Please contact us at our helplines.
While this moment strengthens our resolve, we do understand this is only a start. We will continue our work, patiently and diligently, to build technology that serves our nation and solves real-world problems.
Our heartfelt thanks to Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the National Informatics Center for their trust.
Jai Hind.

Happy to see a great Indian Company. Not focused on personal wealth and shareholders wealth. Instead focusing on building a world class company from our great country. Really really proud of Zoho team. Accolades well deserved. Stay blessed. In the service of the nation and humankind.
Sir, I’ve used many of your products and have consistently been impressed by their quality and reliability. However, I feel that stronger, more aggressive marketing is essential. People deserve to know that a better alternative exists—one that’s built with care, innovation, and long-term value in mind. The product speaks for itself, but it’s time the world hears it loud and clear.
Zoho products like Zoho Mail, Zoho Writer, and Arattai have excellent quality and can compete at the international level. There is a strong need to promote them. Earlier, I was using WPS for documentation, WhatsApp for chatting, and Gmail for emails, but when I started using Zoho products, I found them much better. However, most Indians are not even aware that such products exist in India. That is why there is a real need for promotion and a strong PR team for Zoho.
Also iam reducing other platforms and shifting our own platform
Thank you for making us proud, expectation are more because already big players has taken over our user base on their social media. Please make arattai more better and promote it. We want to switch to native apps/software its just that we didn’t had better alternatives. Please make our own social media and existing one better.
