# Configure Tax & National Insurance

Configuring your tax details is an essential Getting Started step. Zoho Payroll uses your HMRC employer references to calculate PAYE tax and National Insurance, apply eligible reliefs, and submit RTI reports.

## Configure tax details from Getting Started

1.  On the **Getting Started** page, click **Complete Now** next to **Set up your tax details**.
2.  Enter your HMRC employer references and PAYE payment frequency.
3.  Select any reliefs your organisation is eligible for, such as **Small Employers’ Relief** and **Employment Allowance**.
4.  Click **Save**.
