What is a default mileage rate and how do I add one?

A default rate is a mileage rate that is created without specifying a date. This is applied to mileage expenses that are recorded before the initial start date.

Here’s how you can add a default rate:

• Click Admin View on the left sidebar.
• Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

  Click Settings in the top right corner of the page.
• Select Policies under Users and Control.
• Click the policy for which you want to set up default rates.
• Go to the Mileage tab.
• Click + New Rate and don’t specify a date next to the amount.
• Click Save.
