Can I add a new category?
Yes, admins can create new categories. Here’s how:
- Click Admin View on the left sidebar.
 - Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Select Modules under Customization.
 - Click Categories.
 - Click + New Category in the top right corner of the page.
 - Provide the Category Name.
 - Check the Make this a sub-category box, if the category is a sub-category and select a parent category.
 - Enter the Account Code.
 
Insight: An account code is a unique reference code for a category that is limited to 50 characters and can comprise of letters, digits, hyphens, and underscore.
- If you’ve enabled expense types, select the Expense Type with which you would like to associate this category.
 - Provide a description for your category if required.
 - Click Save.
